As drug trafficking organizations use parcel services more and more to distribute narcotics, it is important we train officers to identify and handle parcel packages containing contraband. This 16-hour tuition-free Multijurisdictional Counterdrug Task Force Training course is designed for law enforcement investigators and narcotics officers, including general criminal detectives, narcotics agents, and proactive patrol officers. Attendees will learn how to identify packages containing contraband and successfully follow these packages to the drug source. During the practical exercise, attendees will identify a package, complete a search warrant for the package, prepare an operation plan, and conduct a controlled delivery. Attendees will also be expected to complete a search warrant for the location where the package is ultimately delivered.

Course Topics Include:

• Identifying packages containing contraband

• Successful surveillance techniques

• Equipment for controlled delivery investigations
